Full-Time Intensive ESL Program

Our IEP program offers English as a Second Language (ESL) courses full-time (20 hours per week).
Courses taught are focused on integrating all language skills: Writing, Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Grammar.
Focus is placed on Grammar, Reading, and Writing in the Grammar course (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday). Speaking, Listening, and Vocabulary are more of a focus in the Conversation course (Thursday and Friday).
TOEFL and Colledge Preparation courses are available for advanced students as well as elective courses.
To meet the requirements of an F-1 Visa and obtain an I-20 form, international students must enroll in full-time program (20 hours per week). Non visa students may take classes part-time or full-time.

Proficiency levels

Every proficiency level consists of Part 1 (6 weeks) and Part 2 (6 weeks).

Class Schedule

Although these 6-week sessions begin according to a schedule, students may join a class almost from any Monday.

All students qualifying for F-1 visa status must be enrolled in a full-time study program according to the requirements of the US Immigration and Naturalization Service.

First session for students applying for F-1 visa is $840. Every following session is $540.

PART-Time ESL Program

Bell Language School offers Part-Time study. You may study 1, 2 or 3 days per week, depending upon the course you choose. International students holding F-1 Visa can not enroll in Part-Time programs. All other Visa categories holders - welcome!

TOEFL Preparation Course

This program focuses on preparation for internet based test (iBT) - Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and further study in American colleges and universities.

You will improve your Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking skills and will be ready to pass TOEFL iBT test.

Elective Courses

BUSINESS English

This class focuses on English language skills in the business workplace, particularly in such areas as marketing, advertising, negotiations, corporate meetings, abbreviations, acronyms, and shortcuts.

College Preparation Course

This program is designed to improve listening and speaking skills using materials based on academic content. Students explore real world issues, discuss academic topics and study thematic materials.Students will activate prior knowledge , interact in pair work, and small group work, improve critical thinking skills.

Academic Writing

This program will improve writing skills; prepare students for effective academic essay writing and term papers.

English for Communication

This class is designed to master communications and vocabulary skills.

Accent Reduction

This course is focused on teaching students to create the sounds of Standard American English and give greater confidence in communication skills with native speakers of English. Designed to reduce foreign accent.

All about the U.S.A.

This program will introduce students to typically people, places and things, events, food and phenomena, inspire cross-cultural exchange.

Movie Club

This program focuses on developing student’s ability to understand and discuss a modern American movies. The course is designed to practice listening and speaking skills, vocabulary and idioms are introduced.

Essential American Idioms

This program focuses on most popular American Idioms used in everyday life.

Reading about New York City

This full time program focuses on numerous topics related to life in New York City.
